Miners Bring Back Gates for 2016

Marion, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Miners are pleased to announce the return of all-star center fielder Aaron Gates to the club for the team's 2016 tenth anniversary season. A native of Villa Park, California, Gates is coming off a tremendous season in 2015 in which he hit .316 with 17 doubles, seven triples, seven home runs, 41 RBIs and 115 total hits as well as 73 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 15 attempts.
