Stingrays Defeat Solar Bears 5-2 on Military Appreciation Night

January 18, 2025 - NORTH CHARLESTON, SC. - The South Carolina Stingrays defeated the Orlando Solar Bears 5-2 on Saturday night in front of 7,555 fans at the North Charleston Coliseum for Military Appreciation Night. Zac Funk (2), Connor Moore, Josh Wilkins, and Austin Magera scored for the Stingrays, while goaltender Seth Eisele stopped 22 of 24 shots. Goaltender Garin Bjorklund Re-Assigned to Stingrays

January 18, 2025 - NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals and AHL's Hershey Bears, announced today that goaltender Garin Bjorklund has been re-assigned by Washington from Hershey to South Carolina. Bjorklund, 22, is in his third season of professional hockey. He has appeared in eleven games for the Stingrays this season and holds a 6-3-1 record with a 2.05 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage. Cockerill Caps Comeback: Icemen Defeat Royals in Shootout After Being Down 3 Goals

January 18, 2025 - READING, PA -- After allowing three straight goals from the Royals in the second period, the Jacksonville Icemen scored a trio of goals consecutively themselves to come back and beat Reading 5-4 in a shootout on Friday night. The Icemen went down 4-1 in the second after Matt Brown (9), Tyson Kirkby (1) and Ryan Leibold (7) all took advantage of puck possession in Jacksonville territory to score on Matt Vernon. Heartlanders Win Sixth Straight Game, Slay Knight Monsters, 7-3

January 17, 2025 - Coralville, Iowa - The Iowa Heartlanders scored a season-high seven goals and Jonny Sorensen recorded his first career hat trick in a 7-3 victory over the Tahoe Knight Monsters Friday at Xtream Arena. Iowa's seven goals beats the previous season best of six goals. Friday was Iowa's sixth straight victory. Sorensen first found the back of the net halfway through the opening frame to tie the score at one.
