Blue Jackets Recall Defenseman Marcus Bjork from Monsters

March 30, 2023 - CLEVELAND - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters, top affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Thursday that the Blue Jackets added defenseman Marcus Bjork to the club's roster on emergency recall from the Monsters. In 27 appearances for the Blue Jackets this season, Bjork posted 3-8-11 with 24 penalty minutes and added 6-7-13 with 18 penalty minutes in 40 appearances for the Monsters in the first action of his North American professional career. Monsters Battle to Earn 3-2 Overtime Victory Against Amerks

March 29, 2023 - ROCHESTER, NY - The Cleveland Monsters beat the Rochester Americans 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday night at Blue Cross Arena. With the win, the Monsters are now 29-27-5-2 and currently in fifth place in the AHL's North Division standings. Josh Dunne opened the scoring just 28 seconds into the first period assisted by Joona Luoto, but Rochester's Brett Murray responded with a tally at 14:47 tying the game 1-1 after 20 minutes. Monsters Announce Pair of Roster Moves

March 27, 2023 - CLEVELAND - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters, top affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Monday that the Blue Jackets added defenseman Billy Sweezey to the club's roster on emergency recall from Cleveland while the Monsters recalled goaltender Pavel Cajan from the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings.
