August 16, 2019 - TORONTO - The Canadian Football League (CFL) and the Canadian Football League Players' Association (CFLPA) met to discuss the new weather protocol that was put into effect when an electrical storm forced a delay and, ultimately, the stoppage of last weekend's Montreal- Saskatchewan game. Emanuel Davis Announces Retirement

August 15, 2019 - After six seasons in the Canadian Football League, including five seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, defensive back Emanuel Davis announced his retirement Thursday. Davis, 31, appeared in 79 career CFL games (77 starts) with the Tiger-Cats (2013-17) and Calgary Stampeders (2018), registering 246 defensive tackles, eight tackles for loss, 24 special teams tackles, 14 interceptions (four returned for touchdowns), 37 pass knock downs, one quarterback sack, six forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. August 15, 2019 - The Calgary Stampeders will face the only team they have yet to play in 2019 when the Montreal Alouettes come to McMahon Stadium. Ten Players Unveiled from Each CFL Teams' Negotiation Lists

August 15, 2019 - TORONTO - For the first time this season, the nine Canadian Football League (CFL) teams have unveiled ten players from each of their negotiation lists. Clubs are required to do so on two occasions throughout the year following a measure approved at the 2018 CFL winter meetings. CFL by-laws state that teams can claim exclusive CFL rights for up to 45 players by placing them on their negotiation lists. Players can be added, removed or traded from the lists at any time.
