Taro Hirose's Hat Trick Lifts The Griffins Over San Diego

SAN DIEGO - Taro Hirose's first hat trick as a pro led the Grand Rapids Griffins to a 6-5 win over the San Diego Gulls at Pechanga Arena on Friday. The former Spartan had four points in the contest (3-1-4), as well as the game-winning goal with 1:29 left in the game.
