Syracuse, NY - René Rivera drove in three runs, but the Syracuse Mets fell to the Gwinnett Stripers, 11-4, on Friday night at NBT Bank Stadium.
Syracuse (32-35) scored in the bottom of the first inning. With two outs, Rubén Tejada reached base on an error on the right fielder Travis Demeritte. Rivera made Gwinnett pay for the error by following with a two-run home run over the right-field wall for a 2-0 Mets lead.
