TinCaps Close Out Homestand with Resounding Victory

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps offense exploded on Monday night, scoring 10 runs on 14 hits en route to a resounding 10-2 victory over the Cedar Rapids Kernels (Minnesota Twins) on a sunny, mid-70s night at Parkview Field. 6,614 fans packed the park - the average attendance during the six-game homestand was 6,105 fans, with four of the six crowds exceeding 6,200 fans. Cedar Rapids (17-13, 56-44) scored the game's first run in the second inning, but from there, it was all TinCaps (11-19, 44-54) for the rest of the night. Tarpons Erase Five-Run Deficit with 5th Walk-Off Win

TAMPA, Fla.- Down by five with six outs to go, the Tampa Tarpons chipped away with two runs in the eighth before rallying for four runs in the ninth to defeat the Daytona Tortugas, 8-7, on Monday night at George M. Steinbrenner Field. It was the biggest comeback win of the season for Tampa (16-17, 44-55), and the fifth walk-off victory. Wilson's Six Scoreless Innings Lead Rumble Ponies to Series-Opening Win over Fightin Phils

READING, PA - Behind six scoreless innings from righty Tommy Wilson, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies defeated the Reading Fightin Phils 3-2 in their series opener Monday night at FirstEnergy Stadium. Wilson (3-4) allowed just two hit and struck out two on 68 pitches in his second start back from the Injured List. In both starts, he tossed six scoreless innings. The Rumble Ponies (16-17, 51-46) got the scoring started in sixth. Quinn Brodey led off the inning with a solo home run to left-center field.
