ECHL Florida Everblades ESTERO, Fla. - A third period goal from Alex Aleardi lifted the Everblades to their first victory of the 2021-22 season on Wednesday night against the Norfolk Admirals. The Everblades opened up the scoresheet at Hertz Arena with 8:29 to go in the first period. Ben Masella fired the puck from the blue line and it was batted into the net by captain John McCarron to put the Blades up 1-0. ECHL Adirondack Thunder GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Thunder notched their first win of the season on Wednesday night at Cool Insuring Arena as they beat the Worcester Railers 6-2. Adirondack's man-advantage tallied three of the Thunder's six goals in the victory. After the Railers scored early on a powerplay of their own, the Thunder used a three-goal first period to gain an edge. ECHL Wheeling Nailers CORALVILLE, IA- The Wheeling Nailers needed a bit of a dramatic ending to secure their first win of their 30th season, and they got that on Wednesday night in their first ever trip to Coralville, Iowa. The Iowa Heartlanders scored with 90 seconds left to force overtime, but in the extra session, Justin Almeida made sure the visitors skated away with the two points, as his left side rip gave the Nailers a 4-3 triumph.
